It was an untypically rainy day when, on 13th June, the Rockwell team took part in the annual CBRE Charity Bike Ride in aid of Action for Children. Setting off from Sandown Park Race Course in Surrey, the team battled wind and water along the hilly 100km route to cross the finish line in just over 5 hours.
Action For Children provide support for children in the care system by helping them through fostering or adoption, and by intervening to stop neglect and abuse as soon as possible. With 7,000 staff and volunteers across the UK, and over 522 services they make a huge difference to the lives of 301,000 children, teenagers and parents.
The team were joined in their efforts by those from across the property and design professions, heading for the finish with colleagues at SimpsonHaugh and Dentons in their attempt to raise money for this important cause. Braving the weather, Rockwell’s cyclists raised over £500 from friends and family for their efforts.
