Rockwell visits Little Village
Rockwell’s Managing Director, Nicholas Mee and Board Director, Dominic O’Loghlen, recently visited young families charity, Little Village at their base in Wandsworth to learn more about the remarkable support they provide to parents, children, and babies in need across London.
Founded in 2016, Little Village is a charitable organisation which operates out of hubs across the capital, including in Wandsworth, Camden, Brent, Hackney, and Hounslow. Their mission is to support young families living in poverty, providing them with the essentials they need but can’t afford.
Alongside running a baby bank network, which collects, sorts, and passes on pre-loved clothes and equipment, Little Village supports parents with a dedicated signposting and guidance team, which offers advice and links to additional services which can help to make raising children in difficult financial circumstances easier. Little Village also works to spotlight families’ stories and campaign to fix the systems that trap them in poverty. In the past year, Little Village has supported over 7,000 children, gifting over 4,500 nappies, 5,000 coats, and 16,500 books to families and young children in need.
Last month, Rockwell contributed over £2,500-worth of cots and cot beds to Little Village. The new cots and cot beds will be distributed across Little Village’s hub network and contribute to the more than 1,800 gifted every year to families in need.
