Taking on the Three Peaks Challenge for LandAid!
In March 2020, we announced our excitement at becoming Foundation Partners of LandAid, the property industry charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK. LandAid brings together businesses and individuals from across the industry to support and deliver life-changing projects for young people who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness.

Parliament’s Suburban Taskforce Releases Update Report
On 26 February, Parliament’s cross-party Suburban Taskforce, supported by Rockwell, launched its first Update Report. The parliamentary Suburban Taskforce Update Report summarises its workstreams and emerging considerations since it formed in March 2020. This includes key feedback from its public “Call for Evidence” and initial data analysis.
Rockwell welcome 2021’s Patchwork Cohort

Rockwell 2020 Round-Up
We kick-started 2020 with a ground-breaking ceremony at 82 West India Dock Road in Canary Wharf, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, for our 30-storey mixed-use scheme of a 400 room hotel and 68 apartments. We were delighted to have the first sods turned by Cllr Victoria Obaze (Speaker), Cllr Mohammed Ahbab Hossain (Deputy Speaker) and Unmesh Desai (London Assembly Member for City and East). They were joined by both the team and members of the local community, including the first graduates of our bespoke hospitality training programme. Over the following months we partnered with Gateway to deliver the affordable homes and launched the privately-owned homes as Vetro in November.
Establishing key themes for the Suburban Taskforce
The Suburban Taskforce, which comprises politicians from both Houses of Parliament, was established this year to review evidence of the state of Britain’s suburbs and make recommendations to the Government on policy initiatives to enhance them. With the “Call for Evidence” having closed in October, the APPG for London’s Planning and Built Environment hosted a public meeting on 10 December, to present and discuss the Taskforce’s emerging themes. The Taskforce is co-chaired by Dr Rupa Huq MP and David Simmons MP, assisted by UCL as Knowledge Partner and with an expert Advisory Board chaired by Rockwell’s Board Director and Head of Planning and Development, Jonathan Manns.
