Local community introduced to Rockwell’s redevelopment plans at first Public Exhibition for Glassmill, 1 Battersea Bridge, Wandsworth

Rockwell is very pleased to introduce members of the public to our exciting redevelopment aspirations for the Glassmill building at 1 Battersea Bridge Road in Wandsworth. Our first public exhibition for the scheme will be taking place on Tuesday 27th September from 4pm – 7pm and on Thursday 29th September from 4pm-7pm at the site.

The public exhibition will provide an opportunity for locals to meet the team and discuss feedback on our initial redevelopment plans, which aim to deliver a residential-led scheme, including affordable housing, commercial floorspace for community and retail use, and a small business hub on the first floor of the building.

Rockwell prides itself on regular and thorough engagement with the local communities it works within. Conversations and feedback on the early redevelopment plans at 1 Battersea Bridge will help shape the vision for the landmark site to ensure it can deliver on the priorities of the people that live in the area.

A significant part of the scheme will be activating the ground floor space and improving connectivity along Thames Path and Battersea Bridge Road, which run along the northern and western perimeters of the building. We are especially keen to hear from the local community on this core aspect of public realm to ensure we create a place that not only improves the street scene with new trees and landscaping, but also provides a useful, well-suited and exciting space for the public.

All thoughts, ideas and feedback shared with us will be carefully considered by our project team as our plans evolve for the regeneration of Glassmill.

The second exhibition will take place later in 2022. To find out more about the Glassmill regeneration, visit www.glassmills.co.uk
