Second Public Exhibition for redevelopment of 101 Newington Causeway in Elephant & Castle concludes.

The second public exhibition for the exciting redevelopment proposals for 101 Newington Causeway in Elephant & Castle, has now concluded.

Rockwell was delighted to welcome members of the local area, community and wider public on both Thursday 20th July and Saturday 23rd July to discuss their opinions on the plans with the Rockwell team and offer their feedback on the scheme.

Rockwell aims to bring forward a transformational scheme, which will include flexible, modern office space with affordable workspace, in addition to an attractive urban hotel. This will provide tangible benefits to the local area including hundreds of job opportunities for the community.

Elephant & Castle remains one of the most sought-after and dynamic locations in London. In the heart of the area, Rockwell envisages creating a landmark building that will complement the existing skyline there and through careful consideration, will ensure that the development will be complementary in form to nearby Eileen House and Metro Central Heights.

In addition, the plans include a new public square to encourage people to meet, chat and socialise, and a newly planted tree-lined area, which will provide shade and increase biodiversity around the south-facing green area.

In addition to 535 website hits, we have been very pleased to have engaged with 19 local residents in-person who have kindly provided feedback on our redevelopment proposals. We look forward to hearing from more as we move closer to submitting a full planning application later this year.
