Groundbreaking Celebrated at Hurlingham Waterfront
Hurlingham Waterfront marked a significant milestone last week with an event to celebrate the official groundbreaking at our landmark development in SW6.
Founder of Rockwell, Donal Mulryan dug the first spade in the ground at Hurlingham Waterfront to mark the official start of construction at our 3.2-acre regeneration project. We were delighted to welcome many guests to the event, including our closest partners and consultants on this project.
Also present was Julie Cavanagh, Director of SEAPIA (Sands End Associated Projects in Action), a charity which provides a safe play environment for local children from less advantaged backgrounds. Managing Director of Development Nicholas Mee announced at the ceremony that Rockwell will be investing in the local area and community throughout construction at Hurlingham Waterfront, beginning with SEAPIA, where we will build a waterproof outdoor play area to allow the children to play outdoors when the weather turns.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Nicholas Mee said: “As with all our developments, going beyond the building is an important element. Throughout this project, we want to reach into the local community and help the people that live here – leaving a legacy of meaningful benefits. We are proud to announce our support of SEAPIA – an amazing charity that does so much for the local area and the children that live here.”
After the ceremony, guests were invited back to the Hurlingham Waterfront Marketing Suite, where they enjoyed refreshments and music from Katie Plus Juan.
