Supporting London’s Mums This Mother’s Day

In celebration of mothers and grandmothers everywhere, and in recognition of the important work by Little Village to support those in London most in need, Rockwell has donated to the charity’s 2024 ‘Mother’s Day Bundle’.

Little Village operates out of hubs across London, including Wandsworth, Camden, Brent, Hackney, and Hounslow, supporting families with babies and children under five living in poverty, providing them with essentials they need, but can’t afford. In last year alone, Little Village has supported over 7,000 children, gifting over 4,500 nappies, 5,000 coats, and 16,500 books to families and young children in need.

Little Village’s Mother’s Day Bundle collects donations to give to mums-in-need, as a rare treat including donations of essential toiletries for families, along with gifts like body lotion, hand cream and hair masks to allow mums some time to put their feet up and relax. The bundle is a special collective ‘thank you’ to London’s mums, for acting as the anchors in their families throughout the year, despite the trials and tribulations they may face.

This week, Rockwell Managing Director, Nicholas Mee and Board Director, Dominic O’Loghlen met with Little Village Chief Executive, Sophie Livingstone MBE at the charity’s Camden hub to make the donation and discuss potential future contributions and partnerships. This most recent donation to the Little Village Mother’s Day Bundle continues our partnership with the charity, which began last December when we were proud to gift over £2,500-worth of cots and cot beds for Little Village. These have since been distributed across their hub network to support families-in-need.
